Each year we perform three concerts, a major ‘big’ work in late November and a ‘lighter ‘ programme in May. We also hold an informal evening of Christmas Carols and readings each December, usually followed by mince pies and mulled wine!
In the last five years the choir’s repertoire has included choral works such as Mendelssohn’s Elijah, Handel’s Messiah, Hayden’s Creation and Mozart’s Great Mass in C. We have sung Mozart, Brahms and Rutter Requiems. Other works include Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas, Vaughan Williams’ Fantasia on Christmas Carols, and works by Finzi, Tallis, Byrd, Stanford, Wesley and Parry.
